I started this blog out of pure frustration. Frustration both on my part and for many real estate agents. Over the years I have asked many real estate sales people this question

“What type of business are you in?”

You can imagine the looks I get especially when I’m the guy standing at the front of the room who supposed to know what he is talking about.

Most agents fire back at me at rapid speed something like:

“We are in the real estate business” or
“We help people buy and sell houses” or the from the entrepreneurial types
“We help people become wealthy”

GOD! give me strength. While all of the above is true to some extent ( yes even for those toe tapping, back slapping, high 5ing wealth creation masters) the REAL business real estate agents are in is

REAL ESTATE LEAD GENERATION

Yep lead generation. Without having somebody to talk to whether they are a buyer or seller, business does not move forward. And we all know what happens to a business that becomes stagnant. It falls behind and eventually goes out of business.

So to be successful in real estate you must become a lead generating machine!
